USEP process: start USEP and promote highlighted

USEP aims to build a connection for students with disability between university and graduate employment through timely and appropriate employment service supports. It is based on an environment that fosters high expectations and high-quality employers for graduates with disability.
The cross-training that occurs from the co-location of the USEP consultants on campus and their involvement in university activities will promote strong linkages between the university and external services that is the university staff involved in USEP are upskilled and supporting students with disability in an employment setting.
In this section, you’ll find a range of tools and templates to assist USEP consultants to promote the program within the university and to graduate employers. It contains resources to help students consider their obligations and rights in the workforce when disclosing their support needs.
Additionally, there is information for USEP consultants about their role and tips for establishing the all-important connections with graduate employers.

Engaging students on and off campus is the biggest challenge – towards the end of study, students prioritise any outstanding assessments or upcoming exams. Early promotion and contact with students as they commence their final year has been pivotal to employment success. We share some timeframes that have been proven to work.
